"life is meant to be colourful"

Sunday Stuff

Warm hello my dear friends! I’m wearing woollen booties, knitted jacket, fake fur waistcoat, perhaps still need wrest/finger warmers and now I feel nice warm and cosy!

Lanterns and little Christmas lights with cosy pillows make magic!

Scandinavian Christmas

My scrap tree is now in the living room and has only snow on it with two special ornaments; gifts from Paris & London and their mom! Thank you girls, there are my treasures!

Christmas ornaments

They are especially made for Karen Blixen’s Museum in Denmark.

It has been a week for secret sewings and little makings …

After few rainy and windy days these colours are mostly gone.

This book came as a gift with the newspaper. There are many lovely ideas for Christmas at Home.

Yesterday I was supposed to have a potholder factory … but it ended up realizing that I have a ‘pot holder atitude’! I tell you about that in my next post.

Today I have secret sewings and made already two trees with ‘my colours’… after the coffee brake back to sewing room and quilting!

I wish you Happy 4th Advent and warm Sunday! Wow, only few days until Christmas!

  1. Your photos are in lovely festive mood! Have a beautiful day! x Anneli

  2. Hvyää Joulua!

  3. Hej Teje! Kauniita, tunnelmallisia asetelmia! Villasukat on suosikkini kotona, kesällä ohuet ja talvella paksut. Nuo pikkuruiset mökit ja linnut ovat suloisia! Ehtisinköhän tässä vielä tehdä muutaman linnun! Tekee mieli salmiakkia! Nuo merilasilyhdyt on kauniit. Harmi, ettei minulla ole kotona tuollaisia, mutta mökillä on useita.Sanon niitä merikristalleiksi. Mukavaa alkavaa viikkoa!

    • Oikein hyvaa viikkoa sinullekin Marle! Kylla aina yhden pikku linnun ehtii … jos malttaa tehda vain yhden! Talo on kylla nopeampi. Tein tanaan 2 puu blokkia ja sain peiton paallisen valmiiksi – jippii! x Teje

  4. I have completed all that needs to be created for the gift giving BUT, after seeing your warmly wonderful images, I absolutely MUST do some things more. Pot holders…..yes! Snowflakes…yes!!! Trees……yes!!! Lovely winter stars…..yes!!!!! You are always an inspiration for me, Teje. Though we stitch in different “worlds” we are together in our hearts and spirits, don’t you think???? Hugs……..

    • Absolutely dear Doreen! It’s fun how it feels like we have always been friends! Just watched a program about the Road 66 and thought of you with your bike! x Teje

      • So sweet of you to share! The weather in that region is treacherous at the moment with “tons” of accidents on frozen interstate roads to the extent the road was shut down so it could be cleared of the many vehicles!!!
I think the phrase “Kindred Spirits” (from “Anne of Green Gables”) would be a great fit for us!!!!!!!

  5. Love those beautiful tree decorations! Lots of lovely festive photos today. Wishing you a peaceful Christmas! x

  6. Teje, your home is always so cozy at Christmas time! Those little houses are adorable! Is that a moose or a reindeer peeking out of your candle holder? And what kind of cheese is on that delicious looking avocado toast? Merry Christmas to you and your family–including Nero, Hanna and Nelli, of course!

    • Thank you Karen! That candle was a quick decoration, two pieces from lavender and then I looked what else and found this bottle-top moose (the cork has left but I had saved the moose). Cheese is really good, smoked Greek cheese from Metsovone. Happy Christmas time to you and your family! x Teje

  7. Lovely festive pics Teje, I love your scrap tree. May I wish you a happy and peaceful festive season.

  8. This is a great post!! Such a wonderful holiday feel. I especially love those tassel fobs. What is the silver charm you have used on them. A Pineapple? What significance does it have. Very interesting.
    Merry Christmas
    xx, Carol
